Where a process has been selected for significant improvement, it is helpful to follow a structured methodology. This is similar to the project management approaches.當(dāng)一個(gè)流程需要顯著改進(jìn)的時(shí)候，遵循結(jié)構(gòu)化方法是很有幫助的，類似于項(xiàng)目管理的方法。

1) Understand the project – this includes defining the scope of the work, goals and developing a detailed plan. The plan should include time and cost estimates and who should carry out the work.理解項(xiàng)目：定義工作范圍，目標(biāo)和開發(fā)詳細(xì)計(jì)劃（包括預(yù)計(jì)時(shí)間和成本，以及執(zhí)行人）

2) Analyse the process – the team needs to establish how the process currently works by discussion with staff, thendocument it in a process diagram. This will include identifyingissues with the current process and consideringimprovements. 3) Redesign the process – consider a wide range of alternative proposals to improve the process and select which ones will be adopted. At the end of this phase, documentation will be produced detailing the newprocess.重新設(shè)計(jì)流程：考慮眾多方案，再?gòu)闹刑暨x，將選定方案的新流程書面化。

4) Implement the redesigned process – create the jobdescriptions, trainstaff and set up systems needed to implement the new process. If newsoftware is required, it will be written at this stage.執(zhí)行再設(shè)計(jì)流程：建立工作描述，培訓(xùn)員工，建立體系。如果需要新軟件系統(tǒng)，也要在這一步編寫好。

5) Roll-out the redesigned process – put the new process into action. Change management techniques will be relevant here.推出重新設(shè)計(jì)的流程：貫徹執(zhí)行新流程，這可能涉及到改變管理技巧。
